Frequently asked questions
How does the comparison work?
The tool finds the longest common sequence of lines between the two texts, then marks lines only in the original as removed (red) and lines only in the changed text as added (green).
Can I ignore spacing or capitalization?
Yes. Tick "Ignore case" or "Ignore whitespace" to treat lines that differ only in those ways as equal.
Is my text uploaded?
No. The comparison happens in your browser, so contracts, code and drafts stay private.
Is there a size limit?
It handles a few thousand lines comfortably. Very large files may be slow on older devices.
