Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between Title Case and Sentence case?

Title Case capitalizes the main words of a heading ("How to Write a Great Headline"), leaving short words like "a", "of" and "the" lowercase. Sentence case capitalizes only the first word of each sentence, like normal prose.

What are camelCase and snake_case used for?

They are naming styles used in programming. camelCase (myVariableName) is common in JavaScript and Java; snake_case (my_variable_name) is common in Python and databases. kebab-case (my-variable-name) is used in URLs and CSS.

I typed a paragraph with Caps Lock on. Can I fix it?

Yes. Paste the text and click "Sentence case" to restore normal capitalization. Then check proper nouns such as names and places, which you may want to re-capitalize by hand.

Does it work with accented letters?

Yes. Conversions use Unicode-aware rules, so letters like é, ç, ñ and ü are converted correctly.

Is my text sent to a server?

No. All conversions run instantly in your browser, and nothing is stored.
